Adventure Time :)

Hello, bloggers! Many things happened this week.

WednesdayWe, MINIONS Council, practiced almost all-day long for our presentation tomorrow. I thought that we weren’t going to complete a presentation but with the grace of God and the efforts of my colleagues we finished it. Tomorrow is the grand rally for all the candidates. We were obliged to present an opening number before we introduced ourselves to the students for we were candidates for the SSC election.
ThursdayThe day has come. Today is our grand rally and our SSC election. I am one of the candidates for president. We had our presentation. After that, we proceeded to the introduction of our party-list and its members. Our party-list is named MINIONS Council. It stands for Making Improvements for a New Institution and Organized New-born Student Council. The grand rally finished and so election came. It was time for the students to vote. After the student body voted, the votes of each classroom were forwarded to the COMELEC of our school. They called all the candidates to witness the canvassing of votes. I wasn’t elected as the president but it turned out to be a great experience. At least, I showed my willingness and perseverance. Some of my friends worried about me for they thought that I would grieve or something like that. I just laughed at them. Well, I didn’t feel any regret. I know that whatever takes place it’s for the best. And so the day ended.
FridayOur most awaited day has come. What is with this day you ask? We have PE class today. HAHAHA. The time for our PE class came and we did the activity given to us. Afterwards, we just played whatever sports one prefers whether it is basketball, badminton, or volleyball. I was about to go home after PE class because it was our last subject for the day but someone told that there will be a friendly match between the volleyball women’s division players and the volleyball men’s division players. So I stayed because I’m one of the players but I didn’t join the game because I played basketball. I went home afterwards and rested.
SaturdayMy schoolmates came to our village to play basketball. They arrived at 9 am. We played basketball with some players in our village and we lost twice. HAHAHA. But we enjoyed the game. We just ate after we played and watched the movie “The Dictator”. It was a hilarious movie. You should watch it if you haven’t watch it. If you just like to laugh, I really recommend this movie for you. That’s it for this week. I really enjoyed it. :)

The Week After Monthly Exams

We had our nutrition celebration this Wednesday and it was really fun. We cooked, panicked, and cleaned up our mess. But all I know is that we worked hard for the result. We cooked a dish that contains ampalaya in its recipes. I don’t know what they really cooked because I just assisted them in cleaning. But I really enjoyed the excitement. Later in the afternoon, a NutriQuiz was held. It was entertaining. Alec, a fellow 4th year student, won the tournament. Thursday was all about the preparation for the Leadership Training for Friday. This Leadership Training includes all the presidents of each room and aspiring SSC candidates.
Friday came. I came to school before 7 am. Because they said the latecomers will not be considered as student leaders. But the bus left at 8 am. I thought we were going to Silang but we went to somewhere in Manggahan. We enjoyed our ride because of the music and the jokes of our seatmates. We arrived at a convent. Our speakers were aspiring priests (novices and brothers). Our speakers discussed about Values. They tackled it well. I understood the essence of values in connection to leadership. A leader shows his values by the way he leads people. Lunch break came and we celebrated the birthday of our colleague Leane. We distributed the food she brought to our fellow schoolmates. We had fun eating. One of our schoolmates, a 3rd year student, was still doing her Geometry assignments even though we were out of school. And were like STOP THAAT!!! WE’RE NOT AT SCHOOL!! AHAHAHA!

But she just smiled and continued what she was doing. After that we went to the Gym to continue our session. Some boys were just playing basketball. The speakers came and instructed us what to do for our afternoon session. They grouped us into four groups. We played a game. But I was not included in the first one because the speaker instructed me and my other classmate to be watchers for the leaders in each group. The first game was called “Group yourselves according to (what the speakers says)”. Mostly 4th year students showed great leadership. The first game finished and I and my co-watcher were allowed to join the second game. The second game was called “Paint me a picture of  (according to what the speaker says)”. We had fun with this game. We were instructed to portray the given scenario with just our actions. At the end of game, we all felt contented. We were all winners. I looked at my watch and it was already 3 pm. I felt that time is slipping by so fast. But that is life. When you’re enjoying moments, time goes by so fast. Our SSC Moderator, Sir Matt, talked with us. And told us what was going to happen next week for our election. After that, we returned to the session hall for the finalization of the activities and discussion. We bid farewell to our speakers and went home. While we were traveling back to our school we just enjoyed the scene.
The music and the happiness soothes our mind. By the time we arrived at school, our party-list (Making Improvements for a New Institution and Organized Newborn Student Council or Minions Council) had a meeting. That’s all worth mentioning!

Week #2

Hello, bloggers! We just finished our monthly examination. Thank God it's over!
Oh Yeah!

I finally made up my mind to run for President for this school year's Supreme Student Council Election. And so I instituted a party-list. As of now, it has no name. But I'm thinking of naming it as... well, that's a secret. I still have to get the approval of my colleagues in order to name it that way. So wish me luck!

So here are some events that happened to me this week. When I came to school (it was Friday) I was wearing PE uniform and it should be school uniform. All those who were wearing PE uniform were instructed to go downstairs to meet our Prefect of Discipline, Sir Jei. I thought that he was not going to let us to take the exam. But thanks that it is the first examination of this school year he let us off.

And so we went upstairs again to our respective classrooms. After a while, Sir Matt announced that there will be a meeting at the computer lab in the elementary building. This meeting will include presidents of each classroom and those who are willing to be candidates for the SSC Election. So I gathered my colleagues from 4th year up to 2nd year. I have no candidates for senators for the 1st year students as of that moment. So I went and recruited Jim Gunay and Kevin Arguelles. At first, they were not really showing any interest. But with my repeated requests (and some blackmails BWAHAHA! Just Kidding ^^), they accepted my offer. After the meeting, lunch break was almost over. I hurried to our room to eat. I was starving. An hour passed and we had our examination in Economics. Most of the questions were supposed to be answered with explanations. My hands grew tired because of that exam. After the exam, we had our break. But it was only like a jiff. So the last exam came. It was Mathematics. After we finished it, all of us rejoiced for that monthly exams draw to a close. Thank God It's Friday!

After the exam, we cleaned our classroom and went downstairs to attend the flag retreat. Sir Josh announced that there will be a try out for volleyball and badminton. I joined the try out for volleyball. Sir Albert, the coach for volleyball boys, said that the results will be posted on Monday. Wish me luck! :).
And so it's time for students to go home. But instead of going home, I decided to go again to Villa Elena to play basketball. But unfortunately, older men were playing so we had to wait. After half an hour, they finished playing basketball. We were about to start our game but the construction workers there suddenly started their game and dominated the court as if it was theirs. And so we were forced to get out of the court and watch them. Jhon Mharce together with Gian and the other kids there said that they are homeowners and they are the ones who are supposed to play. They were screaming. It seemed like we were in a war.
LET US PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!
But despite of the workers' foul behavior, they are still older men. So we spent our time just talking with each other. We were entertained with each other's stories. We didn't realize that it was already dark. I think the workers played for an hour. Despite of the darkness we still wanted to play. So we started the game. After a minute or so, a funny thing happened. It started raining. My friends were like this.

So we took shelter in a nearby house. The rain seemed to last for about half an hour (I guess). We didn't really have time to chit-chat with each other like last week for some were frustrated about not being able to play basketball. And then suddenly we remembered that our bags may have been drenched in the rain for the reason that we placed it inside the jeep of our classmate. So we ran to the jeep and fortunately it was not soaked. We just arrived at the jeep but others wanted to go home already. And so we went home. That's it! A fun and adventurous week befell upon me.

E-journal

Hello Bloggers! I'm here to narrate to you certain events that happened to me this week. Well, let's start.
We take our Music class on Monday at a regular basis. I really like the way our teacher in Music class handles us. He instructs us to bring instruments to school to practice it with our classmates. It’s of great help to everyone. Those who know something about music gets to share it with others.
Other than that I can’t seem to remember what happened that day. So I’ll skip to things that I remember this week. We watched Troy. It is a 2004 epic war film about the Trojan War. It is part of our topic in English. But this movie doesn’t really emphasize the direct help of Gods and Goddesses to the mortals. And this day we finished watching it. I watched it already like 20 times when I was at home. My father really likes mythology. So he would always watch movies like Troy when he was still alive. I’ve watched the Bisaya version of the fight between Achilles and Hector. And I laughed boisterously.  You can watch it here -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bg9JHeoL8Rs. I really like the “Finishing Touch” and the “Haduken” move. Filipinos are really creative when it comes to things like this. Another thing we did today is we played basketball at Villa Elena for an hour. We had a lot of fun. Though some people wanted to stop us from playing we still enjoyed it. We just ignored them and had fun. After we played basketball, we arrived to the topics of ghost. It started when we went to our classmate’s house and there was still no one there. We scared him by telling ghost stories. And I think he was really frightened. James said, “Gian, normally, wouldn’t escort his visitors outside of their village. But today he did.” As he said this, we already knew that Gian was afraid. We told him stories about doppelgangers, kobolds, etc. Doppelganger is a ghostly double of a living person. It is said when the doppelganger meets the true person that person will die. Well it’s just a superstitious belief. But I think that person will die because of heart attack. I, personally, will really be shocked when I see an exact copy of myself in front of me other than the event that I’m looking at the mirror. Kobolds are ghosts that play malicious tricks if they are insulted. And with those stories we just scared each other. We departed from each other with fear in our hearts. But at the same time, it was really fun. That’s for this week. I hope you enjoyed reading though that wouldn't be possible. :)
